Today in
class, Mr. Schick instructed the students that we take the final notes on the
slide presentation, on ancient Greece. There weren't many notes to take on the
slideshow today, which was good because, I didn't feel like taking a lot of
notes since it was the last mod of the day. Most of the notes the notes were
about the Greek and Persian army, and their comparisons. The Greek army was
equipped with iron weapons that meant ordinary citizens could arm themselves.
They also had foot soldiers also known as 'hoplites' that were trained from an
early age. Lastly, they were armored with spears, swords, and shields. On the
other hand, the Persian army had archers that could do damage from a distance.
Then they also had a cavalry which disrupted communication between generals and
soldiers. The last piece of note that I recorded was that the Greeks won the
Persian War. Those were all the notes that I took on the slide presentation.
After that, Mr. Shick discussed the upcoming events in our class, for example,
when the presentations will be happening and when the test will be taken place.
Finally, we jotted down all the important notes that we need to study for the
test.
